The weather is (finally!) nice -- our calendars are getting booked -- and our mailboxes are filling up with invitations! It's officially wedding season. And with weddings, come showers. Have you been given the task of finding a shower venue? With all the great restaurants in Hoboken, we thought you might need a little help narrowing it down. So here are our picks for unique locales in our little Hoboken for bridal showers!
Classy and Elegant. The Fig Tree -- There's a gorgeous private dining room in the back of the restaurant - which also opens up onto a back patio. Hidden Hoboken gem?
Not Your Typical Pizzeria. Dozzino -- They've got a great outdoor space complete with a bocci court - Pizza and non-shower games?! Sign us up! OK, we'll take the shower quiz too!
Shower with a View. 3 Forty Grill -- Whether you want formal seating or to take over the martini lounge, they've got you covered - Not to mention, it's right on the water, which makes for some great photo ops!
A Surprise Location at the Biergarten. The Kolo Klub -- "Hoboken's Newest Private Event Loft." The tag-line may speak for itself, but we'll take chef Anthony Pino's cooking any day!
A Gem Next Door. Fire & Oak -- You may have to cross the border to Jersey City, but this stylish grill within The Westin is right on trend. It was the perfect venue for Noël's bridal shower last year! Check it out here!
Once you've locked in a venue, you can breathe a big sigh of relief and get a little creative! Bringing in your own decorations adds a nice personal touch to an everyday restaurant. And guests just love adorable decor! Stumped on what to bring? Don't worry, we've got you covered.
Confetti. It comes in every design and color under the sun. Sprinkle it down the center of your tables for a pop of color.
Mylar balloons. Spell out B-R-I-D-E, M-R-S or L-O-V-E in large metallic letter balloons. They easily fill up open space and make for adorable Instagrams!
Homemade floral arrangements. Ask the hostess if you can bring in your own flowers. Purchase small vases at the Dollar Store, add a coat of spray paint and pick up flowers from your local grocery store! Flowers can be pricey and this is a great way to save some pennies.
Favors. There are so many cute things you can gift your guests - from sweet treats to bubbly to nail polish. Add a little thank you tag and place at each table setting -- Again, this will dress up your table and your guests will love the personal touch! Our rule of thumb -- Choose a theme and pick something your guests can definitely use (or nibble on the way home)!
