Our next awesome Mom:
What does a typical day look like for you? I have two young children so no two days are the same. I usually try and wake up around 6:00am, well before the kids so I have some time to myself. During this time I enjoy a cup of coffee, read my book, check my email and clean up. My boys usually wake up around 7:15 so I make breakfast and start getting us ready for the day. Once we are all dressed Bridgie and I are off to to WiO for a Ride class and Aidan is off to school. After WiO we are off to the park then back home for lunch and I then put Brandon down for a nap. At 2:30pm we pick Aidan up from school. If it is nice out we'll stop back at the park. We then go home in time for dinner, baths and bed. I try and get the kids down early so I can have sometime for my hubby.
Being a mom is tough work, how do you find the time to get to WiO? The only way I am able to go is because child care is available for the Go Mommy class. Brandon has a great time at WiO too, so it's double the motivation.
Did you have to put your career on hold to become a mom, or are you able to balance both? I put everything on hold right now to be home with my boys. It is such a blessing being with them everyday and I am so grateful I have the ability to do that.
What is something your kids have taught you? My kids taught me it is a mistake to sacrifice your life to work or ideals. It is the people in our lives that are most important. My kids taught me to listen with an open heart and to see without making judgements. They have taught me patience. They also taught me that love does not bring conditions with it, but just is, and they made me a much better person than I would have ever been without them.
A life motto you live by..."Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today" James Dean.
