As 2014 started to wind down, I began to write up my list of new years resolutions. One day in December, I found myself in an indoor cycling class to where the instructor informed us of the event Cycle for Survival: The national indoor team cycling event that funds rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After learning more about it, it jumped to the top of my resolution list. What better way to give back than to do it though something you love. I immediately joined the team, began learning about the event's history and prepped my fundraising page. Some quick facts:
$72.6 million has been raised by Cycle for Survival to date.
100% of the funds raised goes directly to rare cancer research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Approximately 50% of people with cancer are fighting a rare cancer (these include pediatric cancers, leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian and pancreatic cancers).
This Saturday, March 7th is the day of our ride. Our team has already raised over $60,000 and we want to see that number continue to grow. We can make a difference. We can bring real hope to patients and their families even by the smallest of contributions.
Please join in on one of my new years resolutions and make a gift to support my ride against cancer. Visit the link below to access my fundraising page, where you can make a 100% tax-deductible online donation.
JOIN THE BATTLE! Thank you all for your support!
